The guy wears a hairpiece and has badly capped teeth. Besides these things, he appears to be singing to a grill. But I admit I watched it once to see - the fascination of a slow-motion train wreck I guess. Do you suppose this is what passes for “entertainment” in countries with government-dictated television?
Pretty close. I’d call it “I’m able to I have yes yes yes”. It hurts just to try and read it, it makes no sense. It’s almost as bad as the nonsense they put on the side of the cups at McDonald’s. “I’m loving it” is poor English to begin with. Directly translating it into other languages, most of which don’t even use the word love the way we do, makes it even worse.

When I looked it up this morning, it had had 1,130,114 hits, which would make it about as popular as an average sitcom

What I can see is “I can I have yes yes yes?”
Probably accurate for “I can haz” - grammatical Russian would be “Я могу иметь…”

I think it doubled the hits just by appearing in this strip! Pab has more influence than he realizes! I never would have gone there but for this…

I think it had more to do with Roger Ebert discovering and tweeting about it while these strips were still in the pipeline.
