    I’d vote for him.

But if elected he would turn out to be a secret conservative.

He can get a lot done if he doesn’t have to appease anyone else.

Secret conservative or not, I’d still vote for him as long as he stuck to that agenda…

I’d go for that too if I could find an electric car that could run for 21 hours with only 3 refueling/recharging stops of 15 minutes each.

Also, why do environmentally friendly cars have to look stupid? Imagine how many Prius cars Toyota could have sold if they’d made them look like the Scion tc instead of like an ugly piece of camel dung.

MisngNOLA: You want an environmentally friendly car that doesn’t look stupid? Look at the Tesla Roadster.

Too bad current technology doesn’t allow their car to have a convenient price point. That’s why we need more research into better battery life, capacity, and design. Electric cars are a goal, not an immediate solution. Hybrids, especially plug-ins like the upcoming Chevy Volt, are a good stopgap.

some camel dung have been proven to be very aerodynamic and efficient , depending on the shape and size of the camel’s colon and the velocity of the expulsion. unfortunately , they only come in one color

I get that every ounce and awhile.

There is an endless list of good ideas in the world that become a lot less good when the question arises: Who’s going to pay for all this?

Notice the historical trend: Every alternative energy source the Greenies ever supported they eventually turn against. Dams kill the little fishies. Windmills kill the little birdies. Solar fields kill turtles. And don’t get them started on nuclear, which they succeeded in choking off in the U.S. decades ago. The bottom line is that the Greenies are against technology per se. Think the Unibomber sitting alone in his shack in the woods.

Endless list of good ideas? How do the good ideas end up being worse than what we have now? Just because they are expensive doesnt make them bad, it just means it’ll be difficult to convince the terminally short sided to support an idea that might perhaps inconvenience them.

The Russians have a great description for the kind of leader we need to get true change done in America today. They say he needs ‘an iron fist in a velvet glove’. In other words a benevolent dictator. We’ll never get anything significant accomplished as long as we have leaders more concerned with re-election, public opinion and the success of their political party.

Eldo: If you are referring to me, I never expect anyone to think like I do. I just expect them to think…like I do.

Dypak: If you favor a benevolent dictator, then you favor dictatorship. And we all see how well they turn out.

Pab, I agree that it’s very difficult to type well if your eyes are tired (especially in poor light) and I wish ALL sites had available spell check.
