Lieutenant George: “Pip-pip, tally-ho and Bernard’s your uncle!”

Captain Blackadder: “In English we say ‘Good morning.’”

Technically, Bob is my second cousin. Bob’s father was my grandfather’s brother. But we’re Italian, so cousins older than you are “Aunts” and “Uncles” by default.

He was a topic of much discussion at the impromptu family reunion we had on Saturday. Even his own family knows he’s insane.

I LOVE the insane family members! I’d much rather they be present at the reunions and talk TO them, than have them not be there and listen to the so-called “sane” ones talk ABOUT them. Either way, they are the life of the party,

You should see some of the weird explanations they had for retrograde motion.

An earth immobile and at the center, not just of the solar system, but of the universe! Gravity as secret sauce! A flat earth which only appears to be curved! All evidence to the contrary manufactured by NASA! One is tempted to listen, but also to bring lots of popcorn.

That IS one interesting relation. He was born the year I graduated HS and I had just decided to become Catholic. I later dropped it due to their attitude on my divorce, so now I consider myself a “recovering Catholic” and practice religion only in private. My family were not nearly so interesting and I was thinking just a few days ago that I only have one grandmother and the father of a friend who I hope to see in the next life (of those who have passed). I have to hope more will care about me…

vldazzle is a recovering catholic (congrats). personally, i quit practising religion once i learned how to do it right. after all, once you have the golden rule, how many more rules do you really need? the answer is “zero.”

    “Hi, Bob.”

“You’re welcome”, to those who get this.
