The best thing about haggis is that it looks the same going in as it does coming out.

Yup, I’ll eat a Fenway park dog with everything on it but I complain about haggis.

What’s the difference between a Fenway Frank and a New York Yankee Stadium Hot Dog? You ain’t gonna buy a NY hot dog in October.

You ain’t gonna buy one in in Fenway either, this coming October, Lew. All the baseball stadium munchies will be eaten in Toronto.

Actually they are protected under the Endangering Species Act (1975). See here for the facts: http://howlandbolton.com/essays/read_more.php?sid=195

Wow, Pab - thanks for clearing that up for me. In fact, if I purchase it online in the UK, I’ll get an authentic one that contains the lung. Sadly, those are unavailable here in the US.

Haggis is endangered species?? I know you can’t import due to a export band on Lamb lungs.

Unless your talking about Wild Haggis…..

I love hot dogs but I just don’t think about what’s in them and after reading the comments (great by the way) I think I’m one step or more closer to becoming vegetarian.

Of course they’re banned by treaty, that’s the mark of a good haggis!

    A haggis of mass destruction?

I like haggis. Especially free range haggis. (And now I’ll have the Capitol Steps running through my head all day.)

Somebody once told me that in Scotland, instead of hunting snipes, they send gullible tourists off to hunt the wild haggis.

Pab: From “yesterday”, I’m thinking of putting the lime in the coconut myself… thanks for your thoughts on the merger as well. For us readers, whatever happens will be “just another one of those things,” but for you who put the ink on the paper it will be more significant. As long as her majesty is around in some form or other, I’ll be there.

Throughout this strip, you can replace “haggis” with “Marmite” and get the same effect.

In spite of my heritage, I also detest corned beef and cabbage. I like cabbage fried down and eaten (Hungarian style) with sour cream - now possibly Greek Yogurt. Although my ancesters are from all the British Iles, I just like the foods that are good.
