there are bad people on both sides, those who mail bombs and those who receive them. Those who cage children and immigrants looking for freedom. Those who drive cars through crowds and those who are against Nazis. Those who attack Gold Star Families and those who ask that everyone be treated equal regardless of race, gender or orientation.
Tim and Meghan McCain promoting false equivalency. Saying that the Republicans have been vicious and try to destroy everything Dems stand for (supporting people over corporations; latter is all Repubs care about) and responding to that by saying you won’t be polite to them anymore. Maxine Waters encouraging people to SPEAK to Repubs in public about their grievances. Can’t do it at town hall meeings because Repubs won’t have any.
Trump supporter sending bombs is NOT the same. Trump applauding a reporter being body-slammed is NOT the same thing. Trump saying bombs should be ignored and Republican early voting should be covered is NOT the same.
BTW, people in Texas are selecting straight Dem ticket find that Cruz is selected. Repubs that start a straight Repub ticket but then try to de-select Cruz end up not being able to vote for anyone for Senator.
Both parties in breach of keeping country safe. Health Ins companies committing mass burglary. People being applauded for being violent. Maybe we can get our last 4 years of taxes returned?
Nope. We’re not going to just stand by and take another false equivalency. You’re completely wrong here, Tim. And what’s worse is that by spreading the distorted view of an even field, you passively give credence to the “uncivil liberal mob” B.S.
The elephant is trying to put the casket in the ground as fast as possible. The donkey is still trying to resuscitate with a defibrillator. There is a YUGE difference. Don’t make the mistake of thinking there is no difference.
Trumpettes are posting that the pro-Trump decals on Sayoc’s van are new; no sure what their point is there. So I replied to one that Sayoc has a long history of pro-Trump posts on social media and that Trump is inciting and encouraging violence. Someone else responded to me that Trump only promotes violence against people that don’t like him. They really are SICK!
Screw that “both sides” stuff. There comes a point, where you just have to throw hands, be they rhetorical or literal.
And before you bring up the current bomber, let me remind you that he tried to kill people on behalf of the party currently in complete control of the federal government.
This incessant false equivalency is doing nothing to clarify public debate. “They all do it” may be literally true, but some “theys” do it a WHOLE LOT more than others.
I notice that the two animals are walking in opposite directions. Those directions aren’t labeled, but it suggests to me that they are not in agreement over what to do with “civility”.

Lets blame the dems for getting in the way of all of those bombs.
Vote out the vicious lying racist right wing Republicans and take your country back.

Remember when the right wingers were cheering Trump on to destroy Political Correctness?
You got what you wanted, happy now?

Elephant wants to bury it, the Donkey wants to resurrect it but it may take some hard work to fight off the incivility.
