As Groucho Marx said, “TV is the opiate of the masses”… Oops, wrong Marx, and that’s not quite what was said, but you get the point….

Over 20 years ago, I took my TV out, put a blindfold on, taped a cigarette to its screen, and shot it. Life has never been so good. Yes, internet, but I can download what I want when I want, and turn it off a lot easier.
They spend billions on research on how to get you to keep watching. READ A BOOK!

I find the internet is just as much a time-thief, but I love it so much, I can’t stay mad at it.

You’ll have to pry the TV remote for ‘Breaking Bad’ from my cold dead fingers.

I have a big flatscreen TV which I’m using for my computer monitor – I had my Dish cable put on hold for six months and if I don’t miss it (which I haven’t so far) I’ll just have it disconnected permanently.

So true. Don’t have TV anymore but have Hulu, Netflix, GoComics and paperbacks from the library. Ha ha.
