Great toon – if you are a lib who doesn’t have the background info. The Feds have been harassing this family for years trying to confiscate their ranch to add to federal land. This family [and friends] is protecting what belongs to them.

This is almost copping out as a humorist… all you have to do is write down what’s actually happening, and presto! Humor!

All I can say is that there are just too many stories now where I think “This must have come from The Onion” when I first see them, and they don’t…………………………………………….…………………………………….and the stories in The Onion often involve people who are apparently more sane and rational.

Great toon depicting what will happen when this “protest” is allowed. Soon we’ll just have the guy with the biggest gun taking over what ever land they want. The only fault I can find is the cop calling the neighbor “protester” when he is actually a “thug”.

What would be fantastic? If an armed insurrection of displaced Native Americans would occupy these ranchers’ lands. Could provide some perspective about which population truly had their landowner rights trampled on by an exploitative government and their cronies.

The toon is accurate,espcially like those “traditional” land users whose family claims go back almost to WW II, Bundy’s family came in 1948, the Hammonds in Burns, 1968 came to their ranch, and use of PUBLIC lands.

As to reaction to the “armed terrorist” one man in Philadelphia with a HISTORY. OF MENTAL ILLNESS, shoots a police officer claiming ISIL made him do it, like the other voices in his head, but he’s automatically a Muslim terrorist engaged in a world-wide terror organization.

The voices in his head aren’t any crazier than the voices coming from the “ranching” terrorists. BTW; cattlemen shooting people who interfere with “their right” to dominate public lands use, goes back to WAY before the Bundys.
