I am torn on this one: everything the right does not like is communism, but the Russian Civil War and its aftermath were pretty bad.

I want to “like” this comic a bunch of times!

Billionaires are not your friends.

Magats believe this cartoon to be truth, metaphorically speaking.

They truly believe any regulation is exactly the same as Soviet Communism.

And in an incredible gymnastic uneven parallel routine, they also idolize Putin, who they believe has no connection to communism at all.

They also believe that billionaires are their friends and that tax cuts for billionaires benefit them personally.

I guess if we don’t support greed, we are considered COMMUNISTS!!!!!

If MAGA didn’t have their boogeymen, they would not have anything at all.

Back in the cold war, you had people like Dan Quayle saying (unironically) “better dead than red!” Despite the fact the gop color was red the whole time.

Now the gop is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kremlin.

I suspect most of the problem is that many people, almost all on the MAGA right, do not even know what communism and/or socialism are. They’re just scary sounding boogeyman words that can easily be used to manipulate those who think they’re somehow being disaffected by someone or something. It’s far easier to scare and pander than it is to explain the actual, complicated, truth. And the truth is, we are, just like our population, a blend of many different things; with elements of capitalism, socialism, communism, populism, theocracy, democracy, republicanism etc. Maybe, and I doubt it will happen in my lifetime, we should all take the time, and spend the effort, to actually learn how government works. To listen to the sometimes boring details we send folks into government to represent us on. Maybe the problem is we LET ourselves be taken advantage of by voting for the letter after the name, or on emotion, instead of, heaven forbid, actually thinking about it. It’s so much easier the just hate “them”.

Capitalism sucks. We need gay space communism.

Who else here thinks MAGAs are unable to see the satire in this toon?

The Soviet Union did kill people, a lot of them, they also didn’t allow trade unions. They even killed the new land owners after they released the surfs. These new land owners were not rich, they had a house, a barn or two, some cows other life stock but made a lot of crops for the Soviet Union. By then Stalin was in power and as soon as he could, had this new lower middle to middle class killed or sent off to Siberia, same thing just took longer.

Sorry this time Bolling isn’t running Comedy of the Absurd, he is mucking up facts and history. And no, price controls have not been proven to be beneficial to the economy ever.

Pure Capitalism has failed wherever it has been tried.

Today we can wake up remembering that this is what real real feels like. We have just been buying into Trump’s doom and gloom version of real for so long, we’ve forgotten that we live in the greatest country in the world and we have nothing to fear but fear itself. The Lenin led movement did kill many, seized all property for the state, had no real elections, and Stalin followed up by murdering at minimum 12 million of his own people, with estimates through 242 million.

(Literally overflowing—the limit is 100 messages and new ones push out the older ones.) The messages purport to come from a wide variety of senders—Charlie Kirk, Captain Sam Brown, Hillsdale College, JD Vance, various preachers telling me how to read the Bible, International Mission Board, Ted Cruz, Dr Ben Carson, and so on. This one starts with ALERT FROM TRUMP. (I can’t quite display the ransom-note typography because my ISP can suppressed some of it and GC doesn’t allow some others bits.)
