Another memory, the year it was announced on telly that the dog licence for dogs with more than 2 colours was to go up. My sister was out with my then wife and were enraged as Sis had tri coloured dogs. “Why does I have to pay more for my dogs”? I gently pointed out the date as April the first. Better yet, they had even approached a policeman with their grievances. Must have made his day…..

Some towns in Iceland require a cat license, and in Reykjavík, cats have to have an RFID chip that is registered with the city.

I think the Fink didn’t think about taxing cows and horses as he was too busy thinking how to make a jibe at Rodney.

In my town dogs and cats must be licensed and are not allowed to run loose.
