Probably 5W30 synthetic hadn’t been invented yet.Whereas, WD-40, as we all know, was every medieval knight’s favorite anti-rust agent.

That puts a different spin on the sword and the stone. It’s like the princess and the pea. The true princess was so spoiled she felt the pea under a million mattresses. The true king knew enough about home maintenance he lubricated the sword with WD-40.

I just found out last week that you are NOT supposed to shake canned air! The brand I’d purchased was different from my normal one, so I thought maybe it was due to that. Nope, my hubby had one of the old one’s still and on it, (just not in huge letters) were the words “Do Not Shake”. So apparently I have been using air wrong all these years lol.

Contrary to popular opinion, WD is not a lubricant. It is a solvent. Once it dries, your stuck – again. You want a lubricant, try oil.

WD does work good on fish lures, though. Fish love the smell!

I was actually told by a man who sold swords at a Renaissance Festival that WD-40 would keep the sword from rusting.
