We’re tired of it also. And especially tired of politicians who never served in the military constantly threatening to send our troops into harm’s way instead of working to diffuse tensions through peaceful means. That doesn’t mean neglecting the military. As Reagan said, “Peace through strength.” But real war is about killing people and destroying things; apparently we haven’t learned any better way yet.
The military industrial complex needs war to market their products and make the profits needed to improve their wares. They need to keep improving to make sure we are ready for the next war. The BIG one. sigh…
Humans are naturally cowardly, greedy, selfish, violent creatures. They require consistent love and firm discipline to make them into any kind of civilized being.
The trope that “it takes two to fight” is misleading, as it only takes one to attack. The other person (or nation) has only two choices at that point – be conquered, enslaved, despoiled, etc., or fight back.Too many people overlook the clear moral difference between the attacker and the defender.
Too much apathy. If this would’ve been 50 years ago, young people would’ve been marching in the streets in protest! But the Afghan occupation goes on…and on…and on….

Sir Rodney – that exchange of artillery isn’t from another kingdom, it’s from within the state Democrat Convention.

The bad thing about wars is that the peace that really prevails is found in the tombs of their victims.

This is a very accurate and sad comment on the state of our country today and the lack of ethics in our politicians at all levels of government.

Butt ons: I’m reminded of a scene in Terminator, when the Terminator scrolled through a list of responses to someone complaining.

War movies are better than the real thing and with fewer body parts to seek and pack to send home.

Nobody wants to see lasting Peace more than a Soldier who has lived through the horrors of combat.

As long as there is evil in the world, whether it is one person or a group, good people must rise up against it and combat it in any way necessary.

As long as somebody shoots, somebody else will shoot back. And somebody is always going to shoot.
