You need to tell Roy that that picture is gonna give you nightmares for the rest of the year.

Why would anyone want such a large TV, particularly since most TV programmes are utter c%€*?

That means a home improvement loan, Roy! That’s how you have a 168" TV!

Hopefully Kathy can rein him in before he knocks down a load-bearing wall and the house falls in. …If I had that screen in my living room, I’d be scared to turn it on. The faces on the screen would be giants. And, while small spiders don’t bother me (I can squish ’em without flinching), giant-size spiders – on the NatGeo channel, etc. – the size of a Volkswagon Beetle would definitely creep me out.

That’s not a livin’ room, it’s the bridge of the ‘Enterprise’

Better to build a new TV room, with a large walk in fridge and brand new furniture and 5 remotes, in case one of them gets lost.

And what happens to your suddenly clunky and unfashionable 60-inch TV, Roy?

I don’t think I’d ever want a television that large. Not unless I’m watching one from the other side of a room. Weird Al did such a song about large screens. Frank’s 2000" TV. Has Kathy been working out without Roy’s knowledge?

@NightGaunt49… I don’t squish them unless they are in my immediate space and won’t go away. I don’t usually kill any bugs, etc. unless they won’t leave my personal space. I’ve been known the scoop them up on a dustpan and put them outside. Bugs do have a place in the world. Just not on my desk.

I sometimes watch the 32"screen I have in this room all the way from kitchen counter (when I’m doing prep up there). Got to be around 30’ away so I could never read any text. Now if I put on my new driving glasses, I can. I don’t wear them tho’ because for cooking it would mess me up.

100 inches is a mere 8 1/3 feet (diagonal). It would fit, though you might not be able to stand watching it.

Kathy’s comment: “We can’t afford it” isn’t engaging any of Roy’s brain cells which are still in “I want” mode….;)
