I don’t buy into that Latin plural bunk. If we’re not willing to pronounce it as in Latin “KAHK-tee” and not “KAK-tie” then we don’t need to pretend that it hasn’t been assimilated into English. I mean, if we’re going to be particular- why not say that “I stood at the bus stop, and three bi came along before mine?”
