There was once a gag email going around in the late 90’’s early 2000 that appeared to be from Coke it said something like “Coke would like to reward you for your years as a loyal customer with this free gift” and had an embedded button that said click here to claim your free gift when you clicked the button it would eject your CD drive and a message popped up that said we would like to present you with this free drink holder.

My first iMac had a cup holder. After that they switched to the slot loader. I missed the old one, though. You could put in 3 inch discs.
