the worst of times, or plumbing the depths…
Panel one is “OK-ish times” … but still a bit scary.
“Best of times” would have to show me at least a dozen more rolls in the closet….
and preferably a 30-pack.
Not a shed-ful of selfishly hoarded TP, like some people are grabbing in this quarantine…
just an ordinary Costco or Target multi-pack to make it feel secure.
If you have that, the “worst of times” is easily remedied…
if you don’t…. “ayeeee!”
The roll is on backwards.
A tale of two sh*tties.
“Please sir, I’d like some more”
Sorry for being trollish but when I think of Dickens and our current mess, well:
D. tRump: “If the people are going to die then let them get on with it and let my economy recover” (paraphrasing Scrooge).
Shudder!

Those are both worst-of-times scenarios. The roll unwinds wall side. No bueno.
And now hand me The Times (to wipe)
I had to stop laughing before I could check the “Like” button – great one, John.
The above illustration is why I always carry a partial roll in my bag. There have in fact been a few times when I actually needed it.
