It happens in real life all too often. You let an elderly lady with only a few items ahead of you and she pulls out the checkbook….. AFTER the transaction has been rung up.
The other time he did this, a woman who was in a hurry asked if she could go ahead of him in the grocery checkout, even though he only had one item and she had a cartful of stuff. So of course when she gets up there it’s “Congratulations, you’re our one millionth customer!” Cue the confetti and cash prize. Poor Ziggy.

I can relate to Ziggy as I had that happen to me at “White Castle” though the person ordering was having a party.
