    “fewer” is used for things that are counted, “less” is for things that are measured, but this has largely been forgotten.

    “…less of them.”

    Toms, did you really mean “less”, which would mean that they would be smaller, or did you mean “fewer”, which would be not as many?

    Of course, some folks would prefer both.
