The issues that divide the partisan coalitions are different for Republicans than for Democrats. Age differences are generally wider among Republicans than Democrats – particularly in opinions about foreign policy, immigration and homosexuality – while educational attainment is a bigger divider among Democrats.
Democrats also are divided by race, with black Democrats much more likely than white Democrats to associate belief in God with morality and less likely to say that same-sex marriage has been good for society. Racial differences in attitudes are far less consequential for Republicans, who are predominantly non-Hispanic white.
Ideological differences are evident in both parties. Conservative Republicans, who make up a majority of all Republicans, are nearly 30 percentage points less likely than GOP moderates and liberals to say that legalizing same-sex marriage has been good for society. And among Democrats and Democratic leaners, there are notable differences between liberals (who make up around half of all Democrats) and the party’s conservatives and moderates on religion, same-sex marriage, racial discrimination and foreign policy.
That bookmarker could be only half way if he declares himself the winner and his Supreme Court agrees. . . .I’m having a bad dream, wake me up when it’s over.
I haven’t yet stopped reeling from the defilement and desecration that began on Inauguration Day in 2017. Lies were heard from the moment the oath of office was administered.
A businessman-president transplanted favor-seeking in Washington to his family’s hotels and resorts — and earned millions as a gatekeeper to his own administration.
“This is not … to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force.” – Mrs. Dorothy Parker (1893-1967), U.S. wit of uncommon perception and acuity
He will be crashing around the nation, stirring up hatred and discord, trying to litigate every issue he can, right up until the time he is locked up for his many crimes, and his family shrinks away because of his financial ruin. With any luck at all, they, too, will get their day in court.
Trump’s stain is permanently etched into America. It’s the GOP brand now, and Putin wants it just as badly as the LDS Church, the KKK, and America’s billionaires.
An alternate title might be “The Trump Error”, in reference to the result of the 2016 selection of Putin’s monster to be the occupant of the U.S. White House for the past 4 years. A book listing all of Trump’s errors would be longer than the Oxford English Dictionary, which currently has 21,730 pages and weighs 62.6 kilos, or 137.72 pounds.

I worry when political ID itself is the greatest partisan issue:

Trump himself will not be around for long, but the racism genie he helped unleash on America will be around for a long time.

Trump accomplishments would be a much smaller book. Trump lies would fill several books. Let’s put them all on a memory stick and burn it.

I assume it’s referring to lifetime. As unhealthy as Drumpf is now, even the best medical care can do only so much.

Last night I watched a 2001 rerun of a “Red Green” show where they had a joke about looking as bad as Donald Trump’s hairspray head.

That is a book that should be burned and its ashes should be thrown in the dust bin of history.

Keep in mind that as a one term president he could run again in 2024. He would be about the same age as Biden is now.
