With Social Media and cell phones, most kids today will never know the feeling of “Will I ever see her/him again?”

There’s something to be said for learning how to deal with going back to that place, looking, and not finding.

Dad was a lifer in the Canadian army. When you grow up not knowing what country you might be in next summer you do not make connections. My wife went to one elementary school and one high school. Spend 13 years with the same folks. We got excited if you ran into a kid you knew in Whitehorse when you were in Baden 6 years later.

nothing hits you harder than when you leave your summer romance, knowing he’ll be off to university the next year and you’ll be 300 miles away with no licence and 2 sets of parents saying we were too young. How do you tell that to your heart

Yeah I made some mistake in my life that I should have taking. At camp I was hot after one girl but another one was hot after me and should have taken that one. Both girls were named Susan.
