This reminds me of driving my ‘76 VW Type 2 Bus. For a while I’d have to wear an insulated coverall to keep warm. Later on I wised up and started using a butane catalytic camping heater.
While in England one very cold winter in the late 50’s I saw a man driving an MG with no top. He was wearing a large shaggy hat with ear flaps tied under his chin and a face mask, with huge furry gauntlets. ‘Enjoying’ a very cold walk myself, I asked him where he got the headgear and gloves. He said, ‘C-c-c-came with the car.’ I thought that was a bit too expensive on a GI salary so I went into an outfitters shop and saved about £2000 (approx. $5k US)
And yet there will be some complainer out there who will whine because we don’t need all of this “technology” on our vehicles, it just drives up the price.

Blak tire … I don’t think so. Oh, those great old days of studded snow tires and expressway ruts.

I had to store my e bike until spring. Much too cold. The air feels like ice when riding at merely 15 KMH at 9° C
