Yessss! The painted dailies have arrived! Now, with more brown!

and regarding package labels, our normal kitty food is now being relabeled, ‘no grains’. it didn’t have any before, and it’s the same ingredients, they’re now just proudly announcing what they DON’T have. sheesh!

97% fat free! But that other 3%, combined with the corn syrup you Americans have to include in everything, will make you really, really, fat.

Meat is full of hormones, fish is full of mercury, vegetables are full of pesticides and sugar makes us fat.

Georgia, this looks much more like the BCN we first saw 3 years ago. Hope the painting is helping your creativity as you expected. Of course, your creativity has always been great.

Manufacturers always complained that having to list ingredients etc. was costing them in re-design and printing costs, but that never comes up with their bi-annual NEW! IMPROVED! (packaging) splurges.

It isn’t food related but one of my favorites from a label is from my laundry detergent. I don’t remember exactly what it was but something like in big letters “Contains 25% More*” and then the below that the * tells you that it is 25% more than whatever the size that is 25% small is. If it is the same price as the smaller size then that would be a good thing, but there is no guarantee that it is, they are just trying to make you think you are getting a bargain.

Wow! I thought we wouldn’t be getting the water colored strips until August. So happy to see them sooner than that!

I saw mouse flavoured tinned cat food in the store.

I sort of believed them, but how does one check that?

Well done, Georgia! This is so much richer:) In an unrelated note, mostly about my denseness, I just noticed that the kitties don’t have whiskers. Why didn’t I ever notice before? They actually don’t need ‘em, I just never noticed. I’m thinking whiskers in water color is hard to do, or just doesn’t work well? This is just “The artists daughter” in me asking:)

I have a feeling if there was a package of ham or bacon available, the reporters wouldn’t be bothering to read it.

Oh, lord, some kitties are such whiners! My dear sweet kitty cat LOVES anything I give her. Sometimes she’ll even go after the doggies’ food, even when she has food in her bowl, I guess just to show them who’s in charge … and she is. The little doggies just sit and mope when she does this, and look at us like, Can’t you do something about this? And I’ll tell them, You’re the dog, YOU do something!

So true.
