Goldie is absolutely adorable tonight. That little upturned nose! She just needs a fedora (or similarly dramatic hat) to tilt down over her face for the full “dozing private eye…in green pajamas” look.

There’s only one character I can think of who’d live out in the wild lands and might have left something at the farm, but I doubt it’s him. Even not knowing if (Spoiler) has shown up yet in the revised storyline, I doubt he’d live in the bottom of a hollow tree. And Baba would be more likely to return his property at high velocity toward his face than politely leave on the doorstep…

Is it a worm??! She could definitely find that in the barn!

I thought it might be that old bad boy who I thought was in rehab since he is too old to hunt. After all they have bittersweet history together…..but the bottom of a hollow tree is puzzling.

The Raven is dressed in a very intriguing manner. Reminds me of a guard of the Tower of London…..Could he be guarding a villain that needs house arrest but also care and a square meal on a regular basis?

Vulture oracle?

The anticipation is killing me!

Today is Handshake Day. Leave the handshaking to your modem, router, other electronic devices, and software. If you must shake hands, shake your own, as the ancient Chinese did. The symbology is the same: “My intent toward you is not hostile.” To some extent, I like the Chinese symbology better, as it’s very hard to attack someone physically while holding both your own hands. Yes, I know it can be done, have done it, but it limits the options. On the other hand (literally) it is very easy to grasp someone else’s right hand with yours, and deliver a very severe blow with the left. Perhaps it is time for a little “cultural appropriation” (a term I hate, because such an action is more indicative of admiration than anything else.)

Speaking of holding hands, 8-ball does something so endearing it causes immediate melt-down. Sometimes, when he’s being cuddled and is very happy, he will reach out and wrap his island-sized paw around the end of my thumb. His paw is big enough to almost completely enclose the the tip. This sort of thing causes problems with computer monitors and television screens … must be sunspot interference … yeah, that’s it …

This is the cutest I’ve ever seen Goldie.

In the third panel, we see the nineteenth crow-like bird that Baba Mouse has passed. Or, corvid 19, if you like.

Now . . . my question, after reading this . . . is Baba going to just drop something off and return home, or drop something off and proceed further on her quest?

Has anyone else noticed that the hole in the tree is shaped like a cat’s head?

Oh … ugly word! They’ve been messing with the page code again. Now the page menu bar disappears when you scroll down, and you have to scroll up again to make it appear. Makes reading comments and replies less easy. Perfect example of “not thinking a solution through to its surprising (and often undesirable) conclusion.”

Did anybody else get popup window invitations at sign on to join some sort of live chat to discuss ways to improve GoComics along with the offer of a $50 gift certificate? I assumed it was some sort of clickbait for malware so closed it out.

Love how dedicated Elvis is. Puck’s almost as dedicated, but he appears to be fading fast from that yawn.
