I just love little Puck with his crutch and bandages! Or is that a diaper? Elvis didn’t have a diaper in his baby pictures, and Bea didn’t have one when she wandered in. And that little hop with the bottle brush piff of the tail when Another Cat shows up! And young Elvis with that HAIR! Please excuse me whilst I go off for a good, long squee.

Just imagine Elvis, with his personality, as a teenager. Oof!

At last! The superhero origin story we’ve been waiting for will be told.

I am overwhelmed with heartache seeing that little crutch, that swaddling covering the wound of having a limb removed, and hardly able to imagine what he had to endure before arriving at the Big Pink House! Then I smile at that tiny poofy tail, those baby toe beans, an awkward teenaged Elvis reaching out to make sure the little guy is OK, not yet knowing this will be the start of a beautiful friendship! Bless Georgia for seeing the beauty and the worth of those who have been wounded.

If you have not looked at the http://www.breakingcatnews.com site, it is worth doing so to see the original format of breaking cat news. I understand why the format had to change to format suitable for daily papers, but the original is quite beautiful.

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

OT: My 16 year old black cat, Jack, will be going to the rainbow bridge on October 2. He has arthritis in both legs and now I believe it is affecting his bladder. 4 times in the last week I had to take all my bedding to the laundry room. He barely can walk across the room and cannot hop up into a chair. As much as I don’t want to do this I know it is the right thing for him.

I look at teen Elvis and it makes me want to say …. Duuuuuuuuuuuude

My heart is overflowing to the point where I expect the warm goo to become a nuisance to my neighbors.

I had a leg taken away from me as well, Pucky. Ir’s gonna be ok.

Next Wednesday I will be celebrating the 14th Gotcha Day of Tucker Lovesponge, the world’s best precious angel tuxedo kitty boy. Special fancy food and treats for the whole family. He is truly the best thing I ever brought home from a convenience store!

I remember walking the neighborhood years ago when I saw a stray cat get his tail broken, unprovoked, by a vicious dog. I carried him two blocks to our house and fed him. My parents thought it would heal on its own but it never did. Nevertheless he spent the next several years living in our yard and seemed pretty happy.
