Poor Seamus, last year Natasha tattled on him. (Granted, somebody needed to). It looks like he’s enjoying the oatmeal box much better this year, now that it has a new use. https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2021/03/20
I suppose if the Children set out milk, as is traditional for the Fair Folk, the cats would want it too, and no one would be happy. (Although Terry Pratchett argued quite convincingly that cats, having pointed ears and hair you want to stroke, making a pleasant sound when they’re happy, being cruel hunters when they’re not, and going about their own ways by secret paths by night, may indeed BE Fae.) Coffee creamer, on the other hand, should be safe from cats. Nice work, Children.
Thomios: We have some old friends from Eire visiting with us today. Welcome Duffy and Trish O’Doyle!*
Trish: Sure and it’s good to see ye all again! You wouldn’t be having a bit of tea now, would ye?
Thomios: We sure do. And we have something special to sweeten it with. How about some honey from our local hive? (But exactly where no one is saying). Please meet our honored guests, Clio and her worker bee crew.
Clio: How do you do?
Trish: It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Duffy: And one of your delicious scones wouldn’t come amiss!
Thomios: Coming right up.
Trish: So what is new since last year?
Thomios: Oh we have some exciting developments. Kara and Vann are taking Bea, Puckmosis, and Burt-Ra’s crew to the Great Pyramid to try and find a lost scroll room. And Avenger has agreed to take the bees and me to the Cosmos Garden.
Trish: That sounds exciting! Mind if I tag along?
Thomios: Not at all. You’re as welcome as the flowers in May.
Duffy: And I think I’d like to see this Pyramid.
Thomios: The group should be at the camel stable right now. And today is Hump Day!
Great, the leprechauns are allies instead of enemies this year. Perhaps once the leprechauns are gone for the season it can be repurposed for other tiny residents (although they’d better put it away come July).
I think my cats might well find the leprechauns “magically delicious” and I really really don’t want to find that crime scene late night with my bare feet… So I’ll just put the tiny Irish coffees somewhere safe outside.
I’m not savvy enough to copy Georgia’s original post, but for those of you who are on Face Palm, Georgia just announced that they have adopted yet another Feline Overlord … er, Over_lady_! She’s a lovely calico kitten named Ora Zella, in honor of Louie Anderson’s Mom.
It seems Iggy was in need of a more active playmate than Puck, Elvis, or Goldie!
Here’s a link (but I have no clue if it will work!)
Here is the post about the newest member of the clowder! "Here’s a dose of good news for your Wednesday!!! There is no replacing Lupin (or any pet, they are all irreplaceable), but Iggy in particular has been really missing the playmate he had in Lupin’s boundless eternal-kitten energy. Elvis, Puck, and Goldie love Iggy and enjoy cuddling and napping with him. However, he was often trying to get them to chase him (or chasing them much to Elvis’ annoyance) or batting toys their way only to have them sit where they landed. He was very sweet about it, but clearly a little bored and lonely. And so, on March 8th, International Woman’s Day, I adopted this lovely little lady from our local PAWS in Lynnwood, WA. Her page said that she could use a playmate or the company of other cats. Her litter mates had been adopted weeks ago and she came here from Eastern, WA when her shelter there ran out of room. I named her Ora Zella, for Louie Anderson’s mother. I always loved his stories about his mother in his stand up act, and adored her name. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, and an absolute sweetheart. Her and Iggy have become fast friends and he follows her little darting tail and paws all over the house. “The kids” as I’ve begun to call them give the older cats a break (though Ora Zella often greets Puck with 5-6 licks to his face lol!) and have a lot of fun zooming around the house together. It’s my hope that these two can grow up together.Ora Zella comes to us a healthy cat, just a little kitty in need of a home and the company of other cats. When he first saw her, the Boy instinctively counted all her paws and was checking her eyes when I said, “Oh! No, buddy! This cat has all her paws and can see and hear.” The Boy emotionally declared, “well, I’m gonna love her anyway!” A year ago did I ever guess I would be adopting two kittens in the near future? No. I also did not know we would lose Lupin. Life has its ups and its downs for sure. I’m very

Precious and few are the kawfee cups they can share
Quite brand new, they can try, it’s a special brew
And when the wee ones are far from home, it shows just how much the kids care
’Cause precious and few are the tiny cups they can share
Baby, it’s a crazy world, and love can be rare
Charming and sweet, last year’s traps just can’t compare
And if you don’t feel the magic, too, it just wouldn’t be fair
’Cause precious and few are the moments we all can share
Precious and few are the moments we have to share
