This just in: orange Tupperware is bigger on the inside! Rejoice! It can hold more cat food!

Apparently, there CAN be such a thing as too much food (at least, according to Puck).

OMC!!! The looks on Elvis and Puck’ faces are a study in horror!

What’s the problem? You just have two day’s food instead of one.

And Lupin goes “ ding”.

I was right. Again.

Elvis is getting too old for this.

Elvis, you might as well join in. You’ll be blamed anyhow.

The solution is to invite more guests. I wonder if the raccoons are free tonight. What could possibly go wrong?

Because there is no really good sheltered space to put the dry food bowl in our new house, it is not unknown for someone to trip over or step in the dry food, leading to a nice mess. Sparky just eats it off the floor. This was discovered accidentally when I didn’t have time to clean up a spill, then when I did realized there wasn’t nearly as much food as there’d been that morning.

So in short, I don’t think the guests are going to mind the serving method.

Yikes! Elvis is so shocked he can’t even poof into a sunflower!

If you can find a way to get Trevor in the house, he can help clear up some of that extra food!

I agree with Lupin. You never want to the those hosts. You know the ones I mean. Who only get a little bit of chintzy food which it gone within an hour or two so there are only the crumbs of off-label snacks in the bottoms of the bowls.

Hopefully a certain extremely fluffy outdoor cat can help with the mess. I love that there is still a tiny ding in the last panel. Elvis, if there were any way for you to leave that bell at the scene of the crime, you might yet escape.

I remember when Vlad had knocked over the bag of food, he more than happily tried to “clean” it up by trying to eat it.

Has anyone else noticed a new issue with GoComics only showing “featured comment”? I can open show all, but if I click on a response flag, once I’ve opened show all, I can’t find whatever was replied, esp. if it is inside a string. I can’t figure out how to put back “show all” as the default. Any geniuses out there? Thank you!

I contacted GoComics support. Here is the reply (emphasis mine):

“We’re sorry that you’re experiencing this issue with GoComics.com!

We are aware of this issue and are working with our tech department to try and correct it as quickly as possible. Please also take into account that all website encounter technical issues, however, we are a small, family owned company with a small staff and we’re working as quickly as we can to resolve the problem."

How does the above jive with this, from their “About” page (emphasis mine):

“Andrews McMeel Universal is the largest independent syndicate in the world and a leading digital entertainment provider of humor, comic strips, political cartoons and gaming content for print, Web and mobile devices. …"*

Turns out it does. They have approximately 100 employees, which makes them a pretty small company. As for “family owned,” well, sorta, but close enough for government work.

However, the real gem I found:

As of 3 weeks ago. This might have a lot to do with the current problem. One hundred employees probably means they don’t have a lot of redundancy in any department. Let’s hope they find a really good one.
