The Everett Herald (Everett is the county seat of Snohomish County in Washington State where Georgia and I reside) sent an e-mail last week polling subscribers about a replacement comic. There were six options. Breaking Cat News was not one of them. I sent a reply asking if BCN could be considered, especially since its creator is a local resident. It is over a week now and still no reply. Such an uphill struggle.
And still no sign of Ora Zella . . . could she be lurking, quietly, observing what The People are doing?
Naah! If she’s out there, she’s looking to get into the middle of All The Mayhem. So, unless she’s secreted herself beneath the Secretarial, and the noise is The People trying to move it to get her out, she’s probably somewhere nearby.
Goldie is spot-on. They forgot in their panic that they’re going nowhere. It sounds like rearranging stuff without feline interference. After all, weren’t some apartments expanding?
Yesterday, Georgia posted it was OZ’s gotcha’ day. She also told a story about how she is a great escape artist … 1 or 2 people commented as to whether or not that story was foreshadowing what was happening in this story arc!
Did Elvis fall asleep with is eyes open again (https://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/elvis-fell-asleep-with-his-eyes-open/)? That is quite the thousand yard stare.
OFF TOPIC.......Well, it looks like I won’t be getting the translator job after all. I did about 7 speed tests yesterday, and failed every one. I can’t upgrade my phone until the end of the month when my pension comes in. Oh, well, it means I can put all my energy into getting my virtual assistant career off the ground.
The move the cats hated begins on the BCN website, Past Reports under World News “The People are Kidnapping Us” https://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/the-people-have-gone-insane/
I wonder if the people were kind enough to move the anchor desk into the nursery. I worry the newscast will be cancelled due to all the reporters being trapped away. What will Burt do?
I can’t wait for the exploratory report about the whole “new apartment” outside the nursery! I’m sure they’ll feel like they moved to a new place without even having to get in a car!
I’m really impressed with how calm and reasonable Goldie is being, given her past experience with “humans moving”. The last time humans moved to a new place, she was left behind.
From Georgia: “The ‘Breaking Cat News’ strip that ran in newspapers on Charles Schulz’s 100th birthday this year will now be a part of the Charles Schulz Museum collection!! They reached out to cartoonists who created tribute strips this past November, asking if we would consider donating them. I jumped at the chance, (of course!) and am so honored that my strip was accepted. My Opa and Nana Dee Dee were each huge fans of Peanuts and passed that love on early. They had a Peppermint Patty doll and a beautiful talking Snoopy that told stories from tapes. I spent hours playing with those great toys and watching every Peanuts special over and over and OVER again with Nana. I wish so much that I could tell them about this. I hope I’ve made them proud! And yes, I included a photo of my preschool portrait with Snoopy in my submission. I don’t know if that also made it into the collection, but I hope they at least found it amusing. So honored that a little piece of BCN will now be a part of the Charles Schulz Museum collection! Much thanks to them!”

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Elvis-Anum: Did Puckmosis come by here?
Beatrixia: Yes. He’s..uh..indisposed at the moment.
Elvis: Will he be long?
Bea: I think so. He took a scroll with him.
Elvis: Is Burt-Ra’s crew working on the right-side litter room?
Bea: I sure hope so. I have a kittengarden class coming in on Monday.
Enter Burt-Ra
Burt: I have Wally and Iron Glove working on a new box for the litter room. They’re making it twice the size of the old one.
Elvis: Only right. This is one time when you don’t want an impossibly tiny box.
