Sir Figaro has the right idea. Observe and report. Unless it turns into a ZOMBIE PUMPKIN! Then it’s every cat for themselves!

How can one know for sure that anything is immortal? After all, time has not yet ended . . . something could still happen to it.

McDonalds will be following the pumpkin closely to find new ways to get a hamburger to last over 100 years…

I’m assuming that Tabitha and Sir Figaro are accomplished, fluent speakers of the feline variety of Spanish (most likely a variety of Catalan.) But Burt, being a barn cat, is not a native speaker. He’s doing a great job with the closed-caption word balloons and snarky running commentary, but he’s really more of an audiovisual dude than translator. Maybe there would be a way to let Tabitha review and edit the tape before broadcast. On the other hand, Burt’s imperfect translations might prompt greater viewer engagement and get some idea whether there’s enough of a Spanish-speaking audience to warrant ads in that language.

One of our baby pumpkins hid till Spring, dried out and became a most excellent rattley cat toy.

Also, Georgia, I’m so curious as to Tabitha and Sir Figaro’s backstory! Their woman seems to be anglophone (I could be wrong) and they live in Rhode Island. How did Tabitha become fluent in so many languages (including iirc, squirrel)? And Sir Figaro only speaks Spanish. Were they rescued from the harsh climate of Patagonia? Did they survive an earthquake in Mexico City? Did they sneak into a baggage compartment in Spanish Sahara? Was their first woman a grandmother from Sevilla who moved into a retirement home? Inquiring minds!

¡Muchas gracias Tabitha y Sir Fig para sus reportaje muy informativo! (Go easy on me “star Spanish pupils,” and remember it’s been cincuenta y cuatro años since I studied Spanish II, and my aging eyeballs are having trouble with the pequeño print on my Spanish/English dictionary’s yellowed, ancient, crumbling pages.) May this be the first of many more informative reports. Thank you Georgia for finding a way to include them in BCN again.

So Sir Fig’s going to check the tiny pumpkin like Morgan Spurlock did the McDonald’s french fries in “Super Size Me.” Those things really were immortal.

    Slightly OT and belated:

¡Feliz mes nacional de la herencia hispana!

(Disclaimer: I do not speak Spanish, LOL. I apologize if any of that is grammatically incorrect.)

I’m always happy to hear from Tabitha and Sir Figaro!

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Iggy: Looks like we’re in fine shape for creating the interactive tapestry. I heard giggling in the background.

Beatrixia: Next thing, let’s visit Trevor-Hotep at the Cosmo Nursery.

    Iggy: Sounds good.

Ora Z: Maybe we can find some pumpkins to roll like lawn potatoes.

    Sometime Later

Trevor-Hotep: Welcome! It’s always good to see my Ancient Egyptian friends.

Ora Z: Are your pumpkins ready for rolling and shredding?

Trevor: Why not go over to the pumpkin patch and see?

Ora Z: Hello, pumpkins. Are you ready to roll?

Pumpkin: Hello, Ms Ora. It’s genuinely good to see you.

Pumpkin 2: We like to roll, but would prefer you don’t shred us.

Beatrixia: I can tell you really mean that.

Pumpkin 1: We always try to be honest.

Iggy: I can tell this is a patch of sincere pumpkins.

Pumpkin 2: Just wait until the Feast of Candy night.

What if tiny pumpkins aren’t what they seem? What if they are the food for Roombas from outer space?

I’m surprised Elvis wasn’t complaining about the noise from above (the swatted pumpkins, as well as the cats chasing/pouncing). Maybe that is why Tabitha decided to be proactive and do a special report to keep peace with the other BPH neighbors.

Now the station hears from the tiny pumpkins:

    ♫ We’ve been yeeted

    Been mistreated

    When will we be loved?

    We’ve been knocked down

    We’ve been pushed ’round

    When will we be loved?

When cats think we don’t mind

    It’s such a crime

It always shakes our world view

    It happens every time

    C’mon cats, shoo!

    When will you decide to?

Why are we still shoved? ♫
