Thoughts: AI vs Human

I haven’t watched a single Terminator film but “John Connor would hate this” made me laugh.

AI gives bad answers, when they’re not completely made up nonsense. It has no place in science or medicine, unless you want really bad science and medicine.

I do jigsaw puzzles on an online site and many people post puzzles made from AI generated pictures. Many of them are beautiful but the pictures of people are downright creepy.

Steenky so called “AI” okay for science and medical stuffs? Whaaaaat? Oh noes them steenky bugs ridden computer program ain’t good for notheengs. They gonna destroys science and medicine. They not really AI but just steenky big computer program that is marketed as AI. This is the real problem with that. Maybe it good enough to use as autocorrect. Steenky autocorrect could use some replacement for sure. But it just going to be another spy looking at everytheengs you types.

Computer programs is just tools. They ain’t intelligence. You can using it to correcting spellings and grammars but big no no for “generating” contents. Because all it do is steals from original (and also from other so called AI generated nonsense) contents and then remixes em and gives you a pile of nonsense. Same theeng with creating peectures. Bah and phoeey. Nopes. Nopes. Nopes. Theengs is already going down the drains with internets all spammed by lotsa so called AI generated garbage. So Called AI. That is how me is gonna calls em from now on. SCAI. And you should too.

Maybe Elvis can hire Goldie to look into the (supposed) “invasion.” That could lead to the post-it discovery.

Art is important, but I think I’d also like my medical and science-type work to be done by something better than what we call AI as well.

Out of curiosity, I gave AI a small part of my OTHERWORLD books to see how it would adapt the passage as a prompt.

It was…interesting. And totally off-context. Taxis had a lot to do with it, as well as completely different characters and species.

Not a pleasant experience.

This will be the first “back to work!” moment for me since I lost Dad, and I’m really looking forward to giving the talk and focusing on the comic and fun ghost stories for a bit. Apple’s most recent operating system, Sequoia, is supposed to have A.I. incorporated in it some time this year. I have only one question for them: Can it be disabled? If not, I will not be “upgrading” my OS until it can be disabled.

On the content front, copyright doesn’t cover AI. That means that anyone can use the AI content you created for themselves without penalty. Sites like Amazon Kindle delete books where AI is detected so writers need to be very careful about using it in their original works. And 20 years? I’ve been watching the creation of this tech for years, and most of what we fear is already here. AI content may be filled with incorrect information, nonsense, and bad writing, but it’s improving exponentially.

I hope we get to see Tiny Santa again this year. That would be amazing!

OT sort ofThis would have fit better yesterday but I was int the aftermath of a reaction to my flu shot, or maybe it was the election. Anyway it was very late when I read the Orb so I waited until now. I read this back in the 4th grade and think of it after every election. I think it was in a book called “Poems for the John” and it is the only one I remember. Here goes.
