Where I am, Ireland, the ‘Health Service Executive’ which is a government department responsible for funding health provision and PR about the funding, but not the actual health provision itself (I wonder which gets the bigger budget?), has fudged 21 days to 28 days, and have then said if you haven’t got by 28+5 days they’ll ‘raise a case’, which in all likelihood means, ’we’ll do nothing and you’ll continue to wait until the people doing it are ready to give it to you’.
Can, meet The Road. You’re going to be kicked down it until we’re done.
I’m in Canada. Two shots of AstraZeneca. We didn’t bother to make our own vaccines, so we just bought the ones nobody else wanted.
Fever the first night for the first shot, otherwise, nothing I can attribute to a vaccine shot…unless you can get carpal tunnel in the opposite arm from the injection site. (Hang on a second…. That’s my mouse arm! Maybe too much googling about the side effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine?)
I was told the second shot (Pfizer) would take longer to recover from and have somewhat worse side effects, but I barely reacted. A bit of aching on the shoulder it went in and that’s it.
I didn’t know the flipping of hair color was a side effect of the Covid vaccine. Except for the black dude, the other two went through three different hair colors. Maybe this is a side effect of Moderna and J & J. It’s a good thing I got Pfizer.
Today’s strip reminds me of a one-up cartoon I saw once upon a time in a guitar magazine. In the first panel, you see a guy in a 3-piece business suit, and he says “Gibson!” Second panel, a second guy in jeans and a T-shirt saying, “Fender!” Third panel, another guy in business casual clothing saying, “Ibanez!”
In the fourth panel, Gibson and Fender are beating the crap out of the Ibanez guy.
I’m a retired military guy, I have been vaccinated for things the world has all but forgotten. Like Smallpox, Yellow fever, Cholera, Typhoid, Polio, 40 versions of the flu and a real oldie, I’ve been vaccinated for the PLAGUE. They shot me in the A$$ for that one. So you little cry babies just need to roll up your sleeve and take it like a man.
To all those who want it and haven’t gotten it yet, good luck. I hope some of the doses that certain U.S. citizens are refusing can help you instead. (Being a senior citizen, I was able to get fully vaxed before winter was over.)

Moderna here outside of a sore arm and a slight migraine both shots were fine.

Still trying to get mine. Would prefer the Pfizer or the Modena.

I’ve been hearing it might actually be better to get different brands for each shot. Maybe that’s a metaphor for something, maybe not.

Sheesh.
Currently waiting for my 2nd Pfizer shot.
CDC recommends it is done after 21 days.

Be aware that Pfizer may make you drowsy. After all, we all know the phrase “Set Pfizers to stun!” :D

I had an MMR, then COVID-19 (which I do NOT endorse), then Moderna (second shot 9 days ago).
I am considering the black fungus next.
