The CDC recommends everyone wear earplugs in shopping malls at all times.

For me it would be “Never Goin’ Back” by The Lovin’ Spoonful.

In a place and time, both distant and near, I worked produce at a local market chain. The store manager thought the sun shined out of Neil Diamond’s ass, and played him on never ending loop tapes the store PA. Sheer torture!

There’s no vaccine for that.

Guess he’s a solitary man now.

He should be thankful it wasn’t ‘Baby Shark.’

I recently found a new earworm. “My Baby’s Taking Me Home” by Sparks. Slide on over to YouTube and check it out. You’ll be cursing me for the rest of the day.

Contagious? He repackaged the same darn song a half-dozen times. Very clever.

I don’t — and never will — get the whole “thing” about that song. It is not a good song.

Could be worse. Could be the Glen Campbell strain.

So, I wonder which one is coming up ♪♫ “BAH-BAH-BAAAHHH, BAH-BAHBRA ANN” ♪♫, or ♬♩ “We are poor little lambs who have lost our way, BAH-BAH-BAAAHHH” ♬♩

A person who wrote an article for Nat Geo once, discussed his walking trip from the continental USA to Alaska using the Alaskan highway. His biggest complaint? Getting the song “Tiny Dancer” stuck in his head for days.

Neil Diamond was a champion fencer in college.

I used to sit in my car just before going into work, waiting for any song on the radio that I could live with all day. It was a long wait at times.

In my experience, Copa Cabana by Barry Manalow is very contagious, and can be lethal to anyone who spreads it.

That was the song that Amy Farrah Fowler and Howard Wolowitz bonded over during a car ride.

Well, you should all just be thankful that there is no such thing as a hip hop/rap earworm.

It drives me nuts when they play “Sweet Caroline” at sporting events. Almost everyone stands up in a Pavlovian response, and dances to the tune, which is fine. I hate it when they act like they know all the lyrics.

“OH! I KNOW THIS SONG!!! Mumble mumble mumble mumble mumbles SWEEEEET CAROLINE!!! BUMP BUM BUM!!!

Why do they have to sing the instrumental “BUMP BUM BUM” part? What’s up with the fist-pumping? Weirdos.

May 10, 2020 has a similar theme.

I guess none of you ever ridden on Disney’s “It’s A Small World” ride?

Heaven help us if they ever start doing those Weird Al Frankenstein songs where he borrows from thirty different songs to make his own tune.

Send him to Fenway Park!

Not nearly as dangerous as the Disney strains.
