Is it even possible to convince NYC politicians of facts? Is it worth trying? Would they get voted in if they actually admitted they believed facts?

One of the best ways to convince someone of something is for them to actually see or experience it for themselves.

New York has been sinking for decades and it has nothing to do with water.

This reminds me of that scene from “Eric the Viking” in which an island is sinking at an alarming rate and the residents are insisting that it couldn’t possibly be sinking.

If we can’t get John Carpenter’s vision for New York (though we should try), let this one come to pass.

When the comic strip catches up to the present, we wont be able to see Agent X and the graphic because of all the smoke from the Canadian forest fires.

Current sea levels may not indicate that NY is sinking, just that the sea level is rising. I’d imagine that a comparison with some fixed point would be necessary to show sinking.

Don’t measure by sea level because that’s subject to change. Do it by satellite measurements.

Somewhere around 2000 Al Gore said that the coast of Italy would be under water by 2013.

Compare pictures of the Statue of Liberty’s base from 1920 and today; The water level is the same. Politicians and other grifters have warned:" Global warming will raise the sea level." [For 40 years.] Then when the warming stopped: “The Climate change ‘emergency’ will raise the sea level which will flood the coastal cities; we MUST stop using fossil fuels.” Meanwhile, the ones who got rich from preaching Global Warming, such as Al Gore, and Barak Obama bought BEACH FRONT mansions. Their warnings have ALWAYS been BS. Their support of ‘green energy’ has always been corrupt: Obama gave taxpayer money to his solar company owning friends. [Since solar and wind power are intermittent—the sun sets—the wind dies, the only way these companies stay in business is THROUGH taxpayer subsidies and government MANDATES.] If you want to be able to afford to heat and cool your homes, vote the ‘green energy’ corrupt politicians OUT!

The problem in San Francisco is being alleviated by the closing of half the major retail stores in downtown. That wasn’t the reason but having all those shoppers absent has got to reduce the load.

When the high-tech workforce started working from home, they took their shopping and drinking to their local suburbs.

Even that wouldn’t wake up humanity to the fact that we are destroying our habitat. Future archaeologists (cockroaches with glasses and coats) will comment on the stupidity of this failed species. Happy Friday everyone! :=p

I’m surprised that nobody has mentioned that Clark Kent is in P3.

(To be clear, that was intended to be blatant sarcasm as about 8 people have posted that comment already.)
