Barking? This comic has always read like they could understand Buckles.

Advertise? Originally published as “they’d banish us, you know.” I can’t find when or why it became ‘advertise’. Don’t like it.

Poor Buckles, being kept “in secret” is making him say monologues. I wonder if like the good doctor in “A Tale of Two Cities” he’ll start making shoes next…
