I think that’s what he was aiming for.

I really like the quality of the art in this one. Bill Watterson has always been a really good artist as well as funny.

Farside99’s idea about stuffing everything under the bed so the monsters have no place to hide is good, but my monsters lived in the closet, not just under the bed. Maybe Calvin’s monsters would just move to the closet.

Why do moms always want you to clean your room?

Mums sure do use “animal names” for messy rooms.

But all I can think of is:

Yep, Safari Al…this 1 is a classic and I always thought he could’ve been another great alter-ego 4Calvin but THIS is the only appearance Safari Al ever made in the Calvin universe.

It’s a jungle everywhere.

It’s interesting that hobbes is in almost every strip… EXCEPT for this one…

Now all he needs are some vines to swing around.
