One of the upsides of not being sent to computer camp.

Nowadays we have calendars on our computers and phones, so it’s easy to find out which day it is.

Assuming you WANT to find out.

Summer: the season without caring.

Hobbes is not allowed to be curious, Calvin – else it will kill the big cat!

Too bad there’s only a month left.

Kind of like retirement!

Yep, describes retirement. Still have chores and other obligations, but I get to pick and chose. Plus, there’s grandkids!

The fault of summer vacation is – they last too short!!

Aaah, I miss my school days! I’ve almost forgotten what a vacation is like.

I want summer vacation back! All of you kids enjoy these days; you will wish for them back later!

On this one day at this particular time, Calvin actually gets it.

I’m retired and every day seems like summer vacation… :-)

If I go to church it’s Sunday. If I go to work, it’s Monday. If I do neither, it’s Saturday.

Ah, the joys of a boy and his tiger on a summer’s day under the tree, just loafing.

My wife just retired – yesterday was her last day. How opportune!

The most difficult goal I have for my life is to legitimately not know what day it is, and have no reason to find out just yet. This is nearly impossible if you really think about it.

This seems like a “Red and Rover” theme!

Same with being retired. The wife and I depend on the weekly pill box to remind us of the days of the week.

In the Dark Ages when I was a wee annoyance to my mother, Summer vacation stretched out like the rest of my life. It seemed to last forever. Now I’m retired (and have been for 20 years) and it feels like summer all year! Sing Hallelujah, children!!!
