Calvin, where you’re going by that time, you won’t need money.

That’s Paris Hilton logic.

Now don’t splurge the $1,000,000 in one sitting, young man.

I have a million dollars! I found a one million dollar bill on the ground a couple days ago. Too bad it’s fake.

I’d make sure he couldn’t inherit until he’s 90.

Sounds like my nephew by marriage. Two university degrees (physics and music) and he lives with Mom at age 55. His girlfriend just got pregnant, I wonder if she’ll move in with Mom or he’ll just kind of visit from time to time. Mom doesn’t seem to mind, but it would bother me that my kid was just waiting for me to pop my clogs so he could grab it all.

My wife and I just took a cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary – we told them that we are spending their inheritance.

The problem with that idea, Calvin, is that you would have to act in a way that Dad doesn’t disinherit you!

You need to pick up your game, Dad!

I worked hard for 20 years, I made a millions dollars. And my family and I spent it ALL on living.

A point he has…

I believe Calvin lived in the 1950s, a million dollars was something special back then.

At our current rate of inflation, by the time Calvin inherits his dad’s fortune, it will just about buy a box of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs..

And so began that generation.

I personally like the plan.

Not necessarily the fastest but, definitely the easiest way to get rich! ;o}

I know a family of “Golden Spoon” recipients. They’re not a pretty sight. Greed, superiority complex and the need to separate themselves from the normal riff-raff, was a recipe for disaster. Every aspect of their lives was based on wealth. Karma did one hell of a job on them. Money don’t do much for you when you’re not around to enjoy it. The survivors have to live with the habits they acquired in youth. My parents were not in a position to leave me with anything worth a damn. I worked for every penny I have. I’m proud of it; and, Integrity comes at a high price.

Remember “The Game of Life”, “My long-lost uncle died…and left me a million bucks!” I an uncle that keeps in touch. Sorry folks.

Calvin, “the great worker”

Before the dad can bequeath anything to anyone, first he needs a will. In order to draft a will, he needs to identify himself. The lawyer will be asking for his name, and what is he going to say?

That idea is too late for me.

This reminds me of a cartoon I saw in my engineering dept many years ago. It showed a student (who barely deserved the description) saying to another student “Things? I don’t want to make things. I want to make money. Who do I sue?” Talk about poor priorities.

Since this cartoon is 25 years old – Calvin is now the right age to be part of the socialist movement. Tax the rich!

One suggestion to his parents. Life insurance on the kid. One day Calvin won’t be so lucky going over a cliff in a wagon, and they are set for life.

And when the government taxes you so much that you actually make less as a millionaire as someone who makes 30 an hour, you lose the incentive to become a millionaire. Which is disastrous for any economy.

I am afraid with that attitude, Calvin, you will inherit only the leave raker.

If only getting a million dollars were that easy.

We don’t have any kids, but if we did, by the time they got any inheritance they wouldn’t need it.

And that one sentence started the millenial Generation!

Dad needs to make out a new will.
