    Love WIley’s depictions of Hell, the Devil, and those strange anti-cherubs with severe underbites (demonic bulldogs?).

    That’s the circle of hell for investment bankers, real estate developers, and loan officers. Lawyers, politicians, and religionists are relegated to a much Lower Level !

    Cheap shot, but that’s what humor mostly is. Virtually everything that happens in the financial world is controlled by Congress and the bureaucracy. Blame whichever party you want for that. People in the financial world who run afoul of Washington’s dictates are chargable, which is where the lawyers come in. Where’s the circle of hell for people who defend the people who shoot little girls who want to go to school? That’s a cartoon that would be worth cheering.

    George W Bush dies, and is getting the orientation tour of Hell. He comes upon Dick Cheney, with a gorgeous naked blonde in his lap. Bush says, “Dick, you were the very worst of our lot, why did you wind up with this sweet deal?” Cheney says, “She’s not my reward. I’m her punishment.”

    I attended an investment class once upon a time where the investment “expert” was a 23 year old. He said, while on break that he expected to have his first million in the next year.His method was “buy today and sell tomorrow” collecting on each transaction.

    [Let’s have some fun, shall we?}-Why would a God of love create a place like hell?-What do we call a Father that tortures his children?-Why would Satan, who defies God’s will, agree to be complicit in doing such nightmarish will? (And why would God assign him to?)-Finally, if we rejoice at the concept of such torture of our fellow sinners, what does that say about us?-[Just for fun….remember?}

    Wiley said;I hate to be the one to break this to you, but I guess someone needs to…the reality is the polar opposite.Do you get that? Wiley is saying that everything that Congress does is controlled by Wall Street.Wiley, how very cynical of you, true but cynical. What did they say during Watergate….“follow the money”.

    Not Bulldogs, Pekingese! Those little ankle biters come out of nowhere! Vulture capitalists belong there too! As to a cartoon about the Taliban shooting 14 year olds- check out Rall from Friday. Anti-Obama, but if it was anti-Taliban, we’d probably get more demonstrations whipped up by the mullahs.

    Vonne Anton, it looks to me that for waging war on god, even though he lost, (Thanks to our hero St. Michael the Archangel who defeated Satan in a great heavenly war.)….Anyway, god rewarded Satan for his trying to kill god, with being in charge of half of the universe…The dark side. And god allows Satan to temp us with our god given weaknesses… God is a sick puppy if you ask me……

    Here’s what I love about God. He makes us with weaknesses, and then he allows the ultimate demon tempt us with those very same weaknesses. I don’t believe in the devil, but if I did I would condemn god to hell for his torture of human beings….Seriouslypunishing for the weaknesses he gave you when he made you? God is a blowhard and he sucks….

    You repeatedly attribute to Jehovah the intention to always intervene in other’s freedom of choice. He does not cause any of the suffering, not mine, yours, Varnes, nor anyone. See James 1:13.-There are 3 reasons terrible things happen: Satan rules this world, people are sinners, and accidents happen.-God has purposed to correct all three, and has already long ago set in motion the mechanisms to do so. He will soon end all suffering of mankind.-I hate it when religions paint him an abusive torturer and when individuals blame him for the crimes of others. Neither have really come to know their greatest friend.

    You might want to read a book called “The Corporation, The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power” by Joel Bakan in which he shows how as a “person” corporations are psychopathic. He’s a Rhodes Scholar and Law Professor so this is no quack volume but well researched and documented.

    If you prefer, there’s two way traffic between Wall Street and Congress. It’s still a cheap shot, and a lazy one. On the other hand, the artwork is, as always, superb.
