Quill on her email- or Skype? I heard from my lover by Skype tonight and I really enjoyed that we had a good long chat and agreed on a lot. I stayed up to catch up on email and I received my new Resperate device – hopefully to keep me alive to enjoy everything many more years (lowering my BP).

I base this simply on the number of comments she gets. I do not know of any other strip that even comes close.^^^Perhaps, but, it may be simply that Luann has a hardcore fanbase who enjoys expressing themselves more than fans of other strips

And, now ALL the rest of us are in limbo, as well, Rosa…..since Saturday is upon us.

I love Chickweed too…. I have a feeling it may be ending soon, Brooke has been tying up a lot of loose ends lately (Edda fired, Amos finally proposing, the gay guys get back together, Gramma admitting that Juliette’s actual Father was a German she met during WW2 << Then Gramma going to live with him in Germany, leaving “Space case” Thorax alone)

On the other hand, Brooke might just be preparing to feature only the marriage of Amos & Edda in the strip (Eventually bringing in a much older Juliette, to come live with them in her later, widdowed years) and the irony of Edda having a daughter who is just as big a brat as Edda once was.

If you click on the A-Z Comic Strip Listing (below↓) and then click on the strip of your choice, you will find that a precise number of “Subscribers” (I suppose that includes people who list the strip among their daily choices, on their “carousel”) is given. For Luann, the number is 78913; for 9 Chickweed Lane, 54112.………………………………………………………………….I hope Rosa does plant a big, wet one on Gunther, just so we can see his reaction….

The comments about the “fanbase” worry me.Have you looked at the traffic over at “Doonsbury” lately?

Go to the ‘comics’ tab, and select ‘A-to-Z listing’. If you hover your mouse over the name, the number of subscribers is shown. Luann has nearly 80,000, which is one of the highest I have seen. Calvin and Hobbes has over 200,000.

Very mean of you, Mr. Evans, by having Quill finally call Luann on a Saturday. This is one time I hope Monday’s strip is not about Brad, Toni and/or evil Ann Eiffel!

Chickweed Lane, when comments were allowed, usually finished an average day with 300 + comments.Pibgorn usually had more – something like 500 +.

Brdshtt, of course Gunther is still frozen from the other day. It’s Thanksgiving. I get my turkey frozen too. Start to thaw it on Sunday, Monday at the latest.

Peabody, though many commentators seem to want a major gay character in this strip, I don’t think Mr. Evans is going to go for it.

Calvin & Hobbes is the greatest newspaper strip of all time— Of the ones currently running, Get Fuzzy is indisputedly and undeniably the very best!

My guess is that Quill is calling her from just a few feet away – that somehow he has made it back to America, all for the love of Luann.
