Just another Thursday. Nothing Important up here.October 8th was Thanksgiving, October 31 was Halloween, November 11 was Remembrance Day, the next big thing is Advent, and that starts on December 2, and runs til December 25th.
This reminds me of one season where Gordon Ramsey was raising some turkeys and later some little piggies in his spacious yard and his children helped care for them and gave them names, but he was careful that they did not become “pets”. I remember him saying (name) is getting nice and fat and should be good and juicy for our dinner, or such. Teaching his kids to think of them as food; I enjoyed that, like the old 4H tradition.
THANK YOU ALL for continuing to read my moronic, unethical turkey of a cartoon! I hope it doesn’t leave a bad taste in your mouth all the time, but if it does, remember – birdbrains are always better with gravy.
Reminds me of the Far Side cartoon where the horrified rooster is lying in bed with the covers pulled up to his eyes as the chicken comes in with a bowl of chicken soup on a tray. We know it’s chicken soup because she says, “It’s supposed to be good for what ails you. And besides, it’s no one we know.”
