That was certainly the evil eye.A little home work would give you a feeling of well done when you go out later to play.Forget all that if Dad falls asleep.

Yeah but they won’t let me go out later to play because it’ll be dark! Daytime = playtime, evening is for homework.

Boy! That reminds me of the old old Mazewars game on the original Mac (128k): it had AppleTalk networking and TARDISes too!

Hobbes is a stuffed tiger toy in the second panel, which indicates that we aren’t looking through Calvin’s imagination. Does that mean that that’s the way Calvin’s dad actually looks?

And does this post mean I’m thinking about this too much?

My parents’ versions of the evil eye . . . bounced when used on me. It actual threats of physical harm to head off disaster and mayhem.

Personally I prefer “stink eye” to evil eye…. but I’ve never seen teeth like that in a sclera…… yikes…

I was always the kind of kid who did their homework right away — on the bus ride home, immediately after getting home from school (if I didn’t get it finished on the bus), on Friday afternoon, etc. — so that I could have the whole rest of the evening/weekend to play without having to worry about it. No “evil eye” from either one of my parents needed!

it’s kinda fun at times to get the evil eye!!!:)but yup just do your homework and at times for fun dont just for the eye and then do it!!!
