I’m happy I can cook decently. My wife is a good cook but it’s a good skill.

Flo has many talents but the culinary arts aren’t among them. But then Haute Cuisine is not really in the British Cooking gene.

I’m laughing my butt off watching Billy Connolly and Craig Ferguson on the Late, Late Show. Two of Scotland’s funniest and craziest comedians !

It’s why he drinks so much, to keep down Flo’s cooking.

I’m making sure my boys know how to cook, but they’re also encouraged to find a wife who can cook.

It is not the knowing how to cook, but the gumption to clean the mess. That is important.

Gweedo Murray said, about 14 hours ago

Neil Young says “A man needs a maid.”Gweedo sez “A man needs a Garage !”I growed up with dogs, though they belonged to the neighbors. We always had a cat around our place. They had dogs named Tippy, Trixie, Buffy, Cindy and a real character named Jocko, like the “Raising Duncan” kind of dog. I am sure you will someday be “pitching for the team” again.

Cute names! I don’t read the ‘Raising Duncan’ strip. I love dogs so much but I don’t read that many dog strips… Apart from ‘Marmaduke’

I’ve had dogs jump up at me while their owners are furiously saying ‘GET DOWN!’ but I don’t mind.

Hope you’re OK and that your day has started out good.

And just recently we had a strip about Jackie’s new “chef”, a college graduate (who majored in brick-laying!)

@Gweedo, Mikey, Lonnie, et al:I mistakenly stated earlier that this Pogo story was a Parody of the John Birch Society. Actually it was spoofing Nazis, Communists, Fascists, and Society as a whole, which probably included the John Birch Society, and God knows what else, as seen through Walt’s 1950’s perspective.

@BuggerlugsI’ve really enjoyed your posting Pogo strips on here. Fantagraphics Books has a planned 12 volume set to re-print both dailies and Sundays. The first two are already out: “Pogo: Through the Wild Blue Yonder” and “Pogo: Bona Fide Balderdash.” (The second one came out in November, I think, and includes the years 1951 and 1952). My local library has the first one so I checked it out as soon as they got it, but they haven’t got the second one and I’m too broke from buying Christmas presents to buy it just yet, although I did notice it in the book store when I was doing my Christmas shopping for my nieces and nephews.

So was Jocko a ‘ladies man’ then?

    Haha!

    He sounds so cute.

I hope tomorrow is a nice day for you like it was today.

Are you still doing a lot?

Speaking of dogs, many years ago we had a Beagle named Jake, that had a habit of jumping on people, muddy paws and all. I think he thought his name was “Down Boy”.

If her cooking is so bad, how does she stay so fat, especially when she works all day?
