BTW, we will never truly be an egalitarian country until we get a president that worships Zeus….Personally I’d choose Aphrodite…Or at least Athena…I am getting so tired of all these freaking male Gods! They ain’t even worth that smelly sock on the end of Danae’s bed… OK, Loki acts like an American, so he would make a great president…..Dang, another male….Can we just go with Aphrodite? Please?,
Hey Varnes,I, personally, like my scotch with Isis. She was a determined, seafaring woman, a great negotiator, wielded power like a Pharaoh and could organize a bunch of illiterate rowers to do her bidding and they worshiped her for it. The ship of State would be much better served with a woman as god… er… POTUS.
so, that boat will be spinning in circles until they all go overboard and get nauseous. either that, or the boat splits in have and both sides sink and gets wet.
Taking the high road so early in the morning I see . . . Sadly, I don’t think the democrats in congress are much better. I wish it wasn’t so, but that’s my hunch.
With this configuration they would go in circles. That looks too much like progress. Actually, all the oars would be on the same side, so that any effort would only result in deadlock.
Red Green put it best when he compared youth to a body dictatorship and middle age to a wide open democracy. When the parts can’t even agree on anything, you suffer bad government, voter unrest, and saddest of all, a hanging chad. I’d say America’s middle age is going par for the course.
When I tell people my name or address, and they ask, “How do you spell that?” I always reply, “t.h.a.t.” Or, I put a “p” or “k” in front of it and explain that it’s silent, like pneumonia or knife.
A truly “bi-partisan effort”, implies there will initially be some agreement, and some dis-agreement.AGREED = Oars to the leftDISAGREED= Which way is forward
Omnius is a troll, I have yet to see it reply to a comment. If we ignore it, maybe it will go away.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I happened to post this earlier on Doonesbury.
I heard an interesting discussion about Trolls, last night. Trolls say outrageous things that are inflammatory so that they can gain attention – especially, if it’s negative reaction to what they say. They may not even believe what rubbish they are spewing but repeat and repeat and repeat in order to garner that negative feedback. That way, they can say : " See, I must be right, look at how many of those right/left wing ( your choice ) a$$holes are against me ! "ITT is the mantra, around here. ITT = IGNORE THE TROLLS !

Although there is the same number of oars on each side of the boat, the number taking the oath to the right of the oath giver is missing an oarsman.
Varnes almost 12 years ago
Form this perspective it would like the the boat is turning to the right…(starboard)….and of course going in circles as always….

Will it go round in circles or slowly circle the drain…?
