Today’s strip is going nowhere.

Although there is the same number of oars on each side of the boat, the number taking the oath to the right of the oath giver is missing an oarsman.

Form this perspective it would like the the boat is turning to the right…(starboard)….and of course going in circles as always….

Will it go round in circles or slowly circle the drain…?

BTW, we will never truly be an egalitarian country until we get a president that worships Zeus….Personally I’d choose Aphrodite…Or at least Athena…I am getting so tired of all these freaking male Gods! Hey Varnes,I, personally, like my scotch with Isis.She was a determined, seafaring woman, a great negotiator, wielded power like a Pharaoh and could organize a bunch of illiterate rowers to do her bidding and they worshiped her for it. The ship of State would be much better served with a woman as god… er… POTUS.

With this configuration they would go in circles. That looks too much like progress. Actually, all the oars would be on the same side, so that any effort would only result in deadlock.

Actually, the way they’re set up, they’ll be going in circles, not standing still.

I heard an interesting discussion about Trolls, last night. Trolls say outrageous things that are inflammatory so that they can gain attention – especially, if it’s negative reaction to what they say. They may not even believe what rubbish they are spewing but repeat and repeat and repeat in order to garner that negative feedback. That way, they can say : " See, I must be right, look at how many of those right/left wing ( your choice ) a$$holes are against me ! "ITT is the mantra, around here. ITT = IGNORE THE TROLLS !

It might help if they all rowed in the same direction……and why is this “boat” not named the Titanic anyway?
