Spoken like a true peacemaker. Calvin really has his work cut out for him in getting his message out. Nevertheless, it’s admirable that he is willing to make such a sacrifice for the good of all. (And if you believe all of that……..)Perhaps today’s Calvin and Hobbes inspired the following strip by Stephan Pastis:Click here: Pearls Before Swine (May 29, 2010)Click here: Pearls Before Swine (August 16, 2008)Click here: B.C. (August 30, 2011)Here is Lucy at the peak of her loudmouth years:Click here: Peanuts (August 16, 1961)Lucy became more subdued in her later years after Charles Schulz married Jean, his second wife. (She also started wearing pants instead of dresses.)Click here: Peanuts (July 31, 1986)
There really ARE people like that – sociopaths. I had a neighbor who wanted me to give him $25,000. His final method was to tell me that he only wanted to create and give – create and give – and with each time, his hands extended further out, cupped.
So, I asked him what he wanted to give me, and he had the perfect answer – “To be nice to me, do things for me, and give me things.”
I just looked at my bare wrist, said “Oh LOOK at the time!” and walked away.
I know for a fact our elected politicians have been using Calvin philosophy as a inspiration to advance their political careers for many, many years now.
Similar thought: The comments section at gocomics exists for me, so I can opine whatever I want because everyone knows my way is better than theirs.-[see’s a stone, picks it up, skips it across lake, whistling jauntily, confident all is right in my world]-What?
the third panel got me laughing so hard I couldn’t breath! Bill is a genius. Of course the reason I laughed is because that’s not Calvin’s purpose in life. Its mine.

I love how ‘intellectual’ Calvin looks in the 2nd panel.
