    My Motley would sleep just above my head on my pillow. When she was sure I was asleep she would quietly leave to explore the house, and then return to the top of my head just before sun up. My husband said he would watch her in her nightly routine. He is a light sleeper.

    My cat likes to lick you as you sleep. That and play with hands and feet.

    I’d sleep better if I had a cute little furball curling up under my neck… or beside my face. Jimbo should be so lucky.

    You can’t have it both ways, Jimbo. Cats have their own timetable. I used to have a cat who would sleep on my head and knead and drool. His buddy still sleeps under the crook of my arm. Our latest addition likes to sleep on my feet.

    I’m funny when it comes to sleeping. I can sleep through a bomb going off, but if someone even breathes in my room, I am up immediately. Also, it takes me a LONG time to fall asleep. I have some type of insomnia.

    My cat certainly has his own timetable for affection. On his terms completely. I get bitten if I don’t wait. They certainly are interesting animals, but I sure can’t resist that soft fur. lol

    @Marge -Das stimmt! :0)

    The way Peekaboo is sleeping reminds me of a cat my mom had. That was how she would wake up my mom. Curl up on or as close to her head and purr loudly.

    The late ‘Mantha Pantha used to snuggle with me under the blanket. It’s been 20 months since she died and I still miss that.

    Our kitty has her own room to sleep in, but when my husband first got her in college (she was a rescue kitten brought in to the vet school and he gave her a home.) he’d keep her in his room at night and he said he once woke up to her nose less than an inch from his eyeball, and he though she was about to try licking it.

    In my opinion, cats are the best pet one can own. (Oops! Cats own YOU!) I had cats that slept in my arms at night.

    Sorry, no pets in my bed – ever! I used to let Cuddles Cockatoo watch TV in my bed in early evenings, but she liked to chew holes in the sheets. When the sheets I buy became the really GOOD ones, no more bedtime for the bird. She could always cuddle on the easy chair. I just bought a new topsheet this week of white mulberry silk, but I like a good strong fitted bottom of Egyption cotton with high thread count and pillow slips also of just silk. A bed needs to be a sensuous place.
