I think I just came up with the pattern for prime numbers in the same time Mallard did, maybe less. Figuring out how to express it may take a little longer. It involves inequalities and factorials, and Gocomics just reminded me it doesn’t like to post formulas without thinking they’re formatting. Maybe I’ll get around to publishing it some day along with my angle trisection method. Someday.
It’s good to see it’s groovy to be square. It’s good to see a battle fought on care. It’s good to see a problem they can share. It’s good to see a duck with so much hair.
Glass Pyrex terminology never much interested me. I’ve got three small beakers—-the round cylindrical kind—-that I use as drinking glasses, and that’s it. (I had a fourth, but it broke.) Other than that, I don’t recall the vaguely triangular-shaped ones being called “flasks” when I was last in chemistry class.
Mallard and the Doc will wind up going head-to-head with Allgood and Jackrabbit before it’s through. The government of Endtown does confuse me though. There is a High Council and a Mayor and Security but I can’t seem to wade past that.
If only the rats were easily confounded with math, we might stand a chance. And if we had a wheelbarrow, that would help too! And maybe a holocaust cloak.
“I am now starting to see one of the values of having Flask in charge of security in Endtown: To keep the rats in line.
Seems to be no small feat."
This was my comment from 5 days ago. I think that we all have underestimated the abilities of Flask. Controlling the hoard of nincompoops known as the security rats must have been a full-time job.
The interesting question is whether Mallard is saying that what the doc is asking is difficult because of his internal limitations (that he doesn’t like dealing with the rats or other security matters) or because he has some idea of what is going on and feels powerless to stop it. The next few days should prove interesting.
The idea here is to get the security rats to do a real job of law enforcement, which may mean busting a few heads in the process, while keeping Allgood’s implants within the security forces unaware of the clean-up being done. This will take strategy.
With Flask gone Mallard has no influence over security or even a reason to care. Its out of his hands so to say. Mallard returned to his lab to continue on his own personal way. Endtown was left on its own. That is how Allgood seized authority. No one was watching the hen house and the foxes moved in. The only thing that can help save Endtown is going to be the trial. I imagine Allgood will want it very public so he can sway public opinion using whatever means he has available. The issue will be IF Allgood loses the case WILL he back off? With Allgood in power with council members on his side and I will bet you 100 points he has a loyal supporter in command of the Security. One poster put the similarity to Hitler and his rise to power. How he learned not to fight from outside but to get into the system and use it against it self. Allgood makes a good Hitler. Who is his Himmler? That’s the one in charge of Security equivalent and the most dangerous.Endtown stands on the brink of a Civil War. One side against another all over the definition of “HUMAN”. I hope they can turn to reason but Allgood I believe does not follow reason unless he is the one giving it.
Good question. Makes you wonder if the rats have been out of control for quite some time. Leaving room for Algood and his flunkies to move in. You know what they say…" While the cats away, the mice (rats) will play.".
We can pretty much presume that Maude, Linda and Holly will be vindicated. The interesting part will be all the other results and finally what will happen to Allgood. I’m jumping to conclusions here, but maybe he will be the first to face banishment from Endtown.
You can’t legislate morals, which is precisely what ayahatolla Allgood wants to have done through his show trial. But it is not for the good of all… only for what he wishes to promote, you can see that from his diatribe. Misguided faith is worse than having no faith at all. Linda had the faith to act in the face of uncertainty. Which is why(someone is) they are watching her now. Life is a test. For Linda the struggle is good versus evil – which she won, over the darkness in her soul. Hopefully she will be asked to carry that on officially and clean house on the rats, allgood and the rest of the vermin.
As you can tell I serious believe the rats will have a key component in this before it is all over.A coup cannot make it if the armed security, paramilitary, gun totters are not behind the coup.Allgood cannot win even if he wins the trials if the Security force is not fully behind him.The council who ever is in seated can be bullied into submission to support whatever agenda is handed them.I say again the RATS are the key to whole show.
Why are most of the security personnel rats? My guess is the most likely early test subjects were rats in labs protected by military personnel. When the virus first escaped, many of the first victims would have been the soldiers protecting the lab. If the lab was underground, they would have been protected from the missles. Ergo, security rats. Why are they so “zealous”? Because Aaron drew them that way (recalling Jessica Rabbits famous line).;-P

Mallard didn’t save Petey, and thus Al and Gustine. That was Flask, who commandeered Mallard’s droid for the purpose.

The former Head of Security decreed that from henceforth every beaker will now be called flask.

Those two need to realize they are on the same team. After all, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”Or are they??

Hopefully Professor Mallard will now finally get to the matter at hand, or maybe he’d like to discuss the theories of quantum relativity first?
