Brings back great memories about my son and a giant dragonfly (well, it as about 8 inches long. yes, I know the prehistoric ones were 3 feet long, but… gee, you guys take the fun out of every good story. never mind…)

not only are they harmless, they’re beneficial. they like eating bugs that could do us harm, (like mosquitos)

“prone to fits of manic fancy” I LOVE that! I think I’ll use that at work on Modnay – in case I’m questioned…

I’ve seen a board walk, but I think I’d seen most everything, if I saw an elephant fly.

Horses spook at goofy things. My friend had a horse that spooked at Bluettes (sp), the tiny blue flowers that come up in the spring. Made riding so much more fun.

That’s her tail, not her mane. And that circle, along with the other little ones, are dust clouds kicked up from her running.

My horses find horse killing - everything including old coffee cups, chipmunks, turkeys, deer, old ribbons, umbrellas, etc.

They do tend to be prone to that. The last one I rode just knew that those things all along the road were nasty, purple, horse-eating recycling bins.

Exciting afternoon. Gotta keep the BP up and running … rotfl!

“What is that round white object directly under the 1st A?”You got me there. I hadn’t noticed it. It really doesn’t look like stirred-up dust to me, as someone suggested. It looks like a nondescript Christmas-tree ornament, with hanger attached. I’m an old (actually old) comics reader, but will let keener minds chew on this. Meanwhile, I’ll tolerate ambiguity . . .

Perhaps Lucy is in a panic because she thinks the dragonflies are big, big horseflies#ouchie.
