And the stress of this civic duty has made him gain weight, and caused him to lose his normally sunny disposition. Otherwise he’d be slim and have a truckload of buddies.
The yard guys around here, particularly the ones that do commercial property or esplanades/easements continually blow their clipppings into the street. They rarely pick them up. Some even blow them down into the storm drain inlets. (Saves time and bags)They are simply dumping their trash onto the taxpayers’ street that has to be cleaned up later with a huge machine and they are also clogging the storm drains. Leaky can attest to the problems of too much water from Katrina and I can from Alison and Ike!For once I agree with Burl. We are not supposed to call 911 but rather the Water District (that maintains the storm drains.) They’ll issue a ticket if they themselves catch the perp.
My current landscapers do a pretty good job of blowing leaves into piles that they pick up (and even fish out some that gets into pool). I only use them once a month for the heavy stuff that I don’t want to do (and doesn’t fit in my dumpster).
We have HUGE blackberry bushes in the foest behind us, in the late summer they are a fire hazard. (there is a walking trail behind our back fence, Ive seen people smoke out there) yet the HOA won’t let us weed-wack the bushes. And they won’t either, so we keep a hose handy. Hope it works.
Paula, honey, do you have a recipe for roast raccoon? I’ve got two that need to leave this part of Washington right quick.
