You know that America has lost it’s work ethic when a 1 year old comic is posting reruns. I miss Charles Schultz. During the life of the strip, Peanuts, Schulz took only one vacation, a five-week break in late 1997 to celebrate his 75th birthday; reruns of the strip ran during his vacation, the only time reruns occurred while Schulz was alive.

When I was a teenager, my church youth group had a program where people could “Rent A Teen”. The huge yards full of knee-deep leaves were the worst! And this was definitely before leaf blowers were the norm.

We were going to have Conan O’Brien write a few weeks, but he… No… no, we weren’t.

@Night, I tell my landscapers to keep the blowers to a minimum so they mostly just get them blown up against the walls of my yard, rake them up and take them away. I would not mind composting them if the guys would do the digging/turning but even though I showed them pitchfork and hoe they claim not to “get” the concept (too much work for a 5’ tall 75YO).
