Speaking of pickled eggs. I had a buddy in Vietnam whose diet consisted of two or three dozen pickled eggs and a case of Budweiser every night. No we weren’t in the bush. We were on an airbase in Chu Lai. He was tough to work around.

Know what? You’re right. I had heard that it was originally supposed to be a reference to the war of the roses and Richard III.

But the play on words was the juxtaposition of the spelling of the word ‘’yolk" as “yoke”, as in “joke”. Ah, if you gotta explain it, it isn’t funny anymore.
