Living overseas, I literally can’t remember the last time I wrote a check. Then I visit my sister and she writes checks all the time. With me, it is either cash, dollars or yen, or debit card.
I’m old fashioned. I want a statement in the mail to remind me what I owe. I then write a check and mail it off. This way there is a paper trail to document that I actually paid the bill. A couple of times this has saved me a great deal of hassle when credit card payments were credited to the wrong account (not mine).
I love to pay my bills directly from my checking account or my credit card using my computer. They are paid immediately, the transaction number proves it, and I keep a record.

So crazy that it has worked for a long, long time. I only pay a bill on the computer if I forgot to mail it in time. Rare, but it does happen
