As the story goes, my third grade teacher, Mrs. Levy, died in the kitchen with a cigarette dangling from her mouth. Everyone has to go eventually, but it was heartbreaking for me, returning to that town fifteen years after leaving, and really looking forward to talking with her.I wasn’t able to thank her in person until I visited her classroom in a dream more than ten years later.

Hey, Jef. We’ve really seen enough. I mean, this one is nice, but it’s been nothing but mugs and broken arms for a while now. Most all of summer, I think. It’s late August. Time for back to school.

@zenitheditor — it’s ‘cause he ran outta material… he’s becoming Jim Davis… either Mallett insults our intelligence by using the first panel to recap the whole-summer plot, or he’s allowing for a short attention span… either way, if I were reading this day by day, I’d have lost interest a loooong time ago

I’m thinking I should create a macro to say “Don’t like it? Don’t read it.”
